Perfect harmony between wood and stone. An architectural blend of seclusion and exclusivity, surrounded by natural beauty and boundless space.
The exterior design of this project is based on the principle of architectural contrast, in which the warm tones of the wood blend harmoniously with the cool tones of the stone. Rough surfaces meet smooth details, while floor-to-ceiling windows expand the interior space and let in plenty of light.
The lot for this design is located on the edge of a residential area in southern Hamburg and stretches out along an old pasture bordering the forest. This distinctive lot shape allowed for a unique placement of the house in the center of the lot, far from the usual property lines. This creates a sense of seclusion, privacy, and boundless space. The house is clad in high-quality materials such as handcrafted long-format bricks and natural wood, which underscore its quality and exclusivity.
