A new wooden structure rises from the preserved stone foundation of an old barn, its geometric design exuding a modern aesthetic. The foundation preserves the original stones, lending the building character and authenticity. In the new structure built above it, the roof and facade form a unified whole of wood and Corten steel, creating a contemporary and sustainable appearance. Despite the limited number of openings, large windows on the south side flood the living spaces with natural light.
The interior layout has been optimized to maximize space and functionality. Each room flows seamlessly into the next, creating smooth transitions and the utmost comfort. Casa Fontana embodies a successful blend of traditional charm and modern architecture, nestled in a picturesque landscape.
